Will there be an Angel "Week 0" tutorial available for students? If not, what else is everyone doing to force the students to get familiar with the tools?Responses:

Pierce folks have found that by going to http://waol.org, selecting the Helpdesk tab, clicking the Managed Knowledge Base link in the main pane to get to the Presidium help materials, there is an Angel 7.3 folder which contains subfolders for Instructors and Students. There are some good resources in the latter group of materials. There is also the "?" Angel PowerBar (left button menu) for students after they login. WAOL posted this Word Document that you could make available to studes for Week Zero exploration - it tells them about help resources and there are some tutorials prepared by Green River's Jerry Marshall!https://www.waol.org/faculty_and_staff/docs/Resources_for_students_using_ANGEL.docBTC has set up a pilot Student Help Desk in the library for 10 hours a week this winter, the assistant also has e mail and phone accessibility. Anytime outside of her hours the e mails or phone calls she gets are forwarded to the eLearning Designer (me!). We trained her by walking her through the Presidium bank and surfing the other Community Colleges in the US to find their available resources.
